World Happiness Index: Cameroonians Much happier in 2018

There is no gain saying that Cameroon has had its own fair share of insecurity in the past two years. 2018 has been unarguably one of the most unsecured years in its history. Inspite of this,  the citizens are still in a very high spirits and strong mental state. This can be seen from the world happiness index where the country is ranked 99 in the world in 2018. It improved from the 114th position in 2016 to the 107th position in 2017.

In this survey,  1000 people were interviewed in more than 150 countries each. They were asked this simple question;

Imagine a ladder, with steps numbered from 0 at the bottom to 10 at the top. The top of the ladder represents the best possible life for you and the bottom of the ladder represents the worst possible life for you. On which step of the ladder would you say you personally feel you stand at this time?

Worlds happiness report is published by Sustainable development solution network (SDSN) , a global initiative for the united nations.
