The educational community in the Southwest Region,  especially in Buea have been reacting to a communiqué signed by the the Vice Chancellor of the university of Buea. The communiqué was rendered public today October 25th.

In the communiqué, the VC has decided to admit students in the university without English Language only if they decided to sit in for the the proficiency test. The VC has also decided to accept students who had four papers in the GCE ordinary level.

People have been criticising the decision because, proficiency tests were given to students who had English but went through the French educational system. According to some people, UB is gradually losing its standards. Tell us what you think about this new development in the comment section.
