Samuel Eto'o set to join relegation threatened Hull City

Goals are something that has been in somewhat short supply during the current campaign for the Tigers, with the signing of a striker something on the majority of Tiger fans’ wishlist for the New Year.

And with the January transfer window now fully open for business, straight out of the bat City have been linked with Samuel Eto’o.

It’s the type of link that would have made the mouth water a few years ago, but even at 35 it’s likely he would be able to offer City something.

Eto’o wants a return to the Premier League according to national reports today, and it’s believed the Tigers are currently considering a move.

The former Chelsea forward is now at Turkish side Antalyaspor but they are willing to loan him out until the summer, reports say. Eto’o bagged 20 goals in Turkey last term and has scored five in 13 appearances this season.

Salary will clearly be an issue with Eto’o known to have chased the money over the last few years, having spent three seasons playing for Russia before joining Chelsea for one season in 2013/14.
